Drama.

Synopsis: [?] [From The Moving Picture World]? Catalina is a pretty shell vendor on an island off the California coast. Loved by Amado, a native boatman, she is fascinated by John Dalton, whose friends are present on a visit, among them his fiancée, Eleanor Henry. Dalton, as a pleasant diversion, trifles with Catalina. To her it is a serious matter, and, in a fit of jealousy, she is prevented from casting Eleanor from a crag into the sea by the sudden appearance of Amado. Her lover divines that she loves Dalton, the yachtsman, and he, in turn, acts from Jealousy by boarding the craft, seizing Dalton in his arms and jumping overboard. Catalina follows them and, through her expert swimming, manages to send Amado to the bottom and rescue Dalton. She has learned by now that Dalton does not love her and the following day, when he calls to reward her for saving his life, she dramatically refuses his gold and bears her humiliation with all the fine pride of her spirited race.
