Synopsis: [?] [From The Moving Picture World]? Handsome Jack Magee simply cannot get along with his jealous wife, so when she sees him trying to flirt with the pretty maid, she sues for a divorce. Jack finds he will have to pay alimony, and absolutely refuses to do so. Unable to convince the lawyer of his disregard for the law, he finally enlists in the army in order to avoid paying alimony. There his ludicrous stunts cause much laughter and a great deal of trouble for Colonel Crab and his officers, until he is given a clerical position. Later the Colonel entrusts Jack with some important papers to give Captain Crump. He gets chummy with the cook (who is a spy) and shows him the papers. He is seen by the Colonel who furiously puts Jack in a cell as a spy, where the poor fellow in imagination sees the fatal stone wall and firing squad business. Fortunately, the divorce lawyer happens to visit the Colonel, who is a friend of his, and succeeds in getting his friend Jack out, and our hero, preferring matrimony to paying alimony, tells the lawyer be is going back to his dear little wife.
