Reviews: [The Moving Picture World, 27 June 1914, page ?] Based upon the popular superstition that opals are unlucky, this story has been well worked out and will hold interest on any program. There is a cleverly devised surprise in the plot properly placed all along toward the finish which makes a splendid impression. A burglar, detectives and the police, and a pair of lovers are the characters, making a combination that is always popular on the photoplay screen.
