Agnes Ayres

Born 4 April 1898 in Carbondale, Illinois, USA, as Agnes Eyre Henkle.
Died 25 December 1940 in Los Angeles, California, USA, of a cerebral hemorrhage.

Married Frank P. Schuker, 21 December 1918; divorced, 1921.
Married producer and writer Manuel Reachi, 13 July 1924; divorced 1927;
daughter, actress Maria Eugenia Reachi (screen name Maria Ayres), born 26 March 1926.

Agnes Ayres was raised in Chicago, Illinois, and began motion picture work in 1915 at Essanay Film Manufacturing Company. She is best-remembered for starring with Rudolph Valentino in The Sheik (1921).
