This budget DVD edition has been mastered from a good 16mm reduction print that is a bit grey and flat.
The film is accompanied by a soundtrack compiled from preexisting low-fidelity recordings.
The best home video edition of Peck’s Bad Boy remains the long out-of-print Republic Home Video laserdisc edition from 1991. The only thing in this DVD edition’s favor is that is in-print and immediately available.
